Brost Foundry is seeking experienced Green Sand molders for our aluminum casting line. This candidate will drive the production of aluminum castings by operating a semi automatic Rota-Lift or Squeeze molding machine. Experience with either piece of equipment is desired.

The ideal candidate will be able to lift 25 – 50 pounds and stand to operate their designated machine throughout the entire shift. High energy and having a strong desire to achieve peak levels of quality and production will be the difference between a good interview and a future co-worker.

We are looking for a responsible individual to handle our pick up and delivery needs. The duties and expectations for the ideal candidate are:

• Able to drive a full-size pickup truck with and without a 15′ trailer.
• Care for and maintain the vehicle and related equipment.
• Continuously drive for 1-2 hours at a time, as needed.
• Safely operate a standard towmotor, with training.
• Maintain and properly secure all product that you are traveling with.
• Represent this company to our suppliers and customers in a respectful and professional manner.
• Communicate clearly with all necessary team members.
• Willing to assist in other areas of our facility, as needs and training allow.
• Has a clean driving record and is drug free (background check and drug test are required).

Most of the driving locations are within 15 minutes to 1.5 hours (or less). This is a part-time or full-time position, depending on interest and ability to assist in other areas of our company. The shift will be Monday – Friday, 7 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

The CNC Operator is responsible for operating CNC machines to turn raw castings into finished parts. The operator loads and unloads parts, performs manual finishing and deburring operations. and inspects the finished parts The operator performs additional tasks to keep the machine operating including adding coolant, replacing broken tools, making offsets in the control. The operator works as part of a team so they must be able to effectively communicate and with co-workers.

Essential Functions:

• Load and unload parts from the CNC at the start and end of every cycle.
• Finish parts by drilling, deburring and cleaning.
• Pack finished parts evenly and neatly.
• Maintain an accurate count of finished parts, track scrap and record information on job routers.
• Inspect parts using calipers, height gauges and go/no-go gauges.
• Add coolant to the machines and other maintenance tasks as directed.
• Replace broken tools and make minor offsets.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
• Work as part of team, be able effectively communicate and ask questions.
• Follow all safety procedures including but not limited to wearing appropriate PPE.

• Grind gates, risers, and flash from raw castings

• Clean areas, sweep
• Belt sand raw castings as needed
